What is the theme for Earth Day 2023?
The theme of Earth Day 2023 is "Invest in our Planet".
On the Earth Day site they state:
This year, we rally behind the theme “Invest In Our Planet”, which highlights the importance of dedicating our time, resources, and energy to solving climate change and other environmental issues. Investing in our planet is necessary to protect it and the best way to pave a path towards a prosperous future. On Earth Day 2023 we celebrate
We all are accountable, it's no debate
We must invest in our planet, it's our only safe bet
If we don’t, bye bye glaciers and we all get wet
With over a billion people willing and wishin’
We come together with a common mission
To accelerate our transition and lessen the toll
And create a green economy that's completely whole
Governments, institutions, and businesses hey!
You all must recognize your role to play
In protecting this planet for me and you
And ensuring it remains pristine and blue
The conversation needs a new frame
We must take action, talk is not the aim
Our planet's health is not a game
We must come together, and not place blame
So whether you act virtually or for real
Join the largest environmental new deal
Let's show this planet some love and attention
And give it a wonderful sustainable direction
On Earth Day 2023, let's all stand tall
And pledge to do our part, big or small
To invest in our planet, and make it last
For future generations, for whom we hold fast.
